Recycle for a Reason is run entirely by volunteers. Community members give over 300 hours a month to collect, sort, pack and display items, help patrons, and complete jobs like setting out and picking up signs.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome. If you would like to donate your time, please complete and return our volunteer form, or contact coordinators Jan Wachsmuth or Kay Abrams for more information. Learning to serve is an important step in becoming a productive member of society. Recycle for a Reason has worked with Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, and ROTC cadets from Chugiak and Eagle River High Schools to provide opportunities for youth service. Contact us if your group would like to serve. Volunteer Form
